Buy Slots for a Client
Buy slots per client, monthly or annual, add more with proration, switch to annual at renewal, and find invoices and payment methods.
A slot lets a client workspace connect one device. You buy slots for each client separately in Slots, which only Owners can see.
How Slots Work
- One slot connects one device in one client workspace.
- Slots belong to the client you bought them for. They don't transfer between clients.
- Each client has its own subscription, with its own quantity, billing cadence and renewal date.
- Removing a device frees its slot in the same workspace.
- Your 4 included slots cover the internal workspace only. It appears in the client list too, so you can buy slots for devices beyond the first 4.
Buy Slots
Open Slots.
Under Buy slots for a client, choose the client in Client organisation.
Set the quantity.
For a client's first purchase, choose Monthly or Annual. You choose once, and every later addition follows that choice.
Select Review purchase, check the summary, and confirm. A first purchase continues to a secure payment page. Later additions use the saved payment method.
Slots become available once payment is confirmed. After a first purchase, the page shows Payment confirmed.
You can't buy slots for a client that is paused, has a service end scheduled, or is offboarded, or while your partner account needs payment attention.
Add Slots Later
Open the client's actions menu under Client subscriptions and select Add slots. You pay a prorated charge today for the rest of the current period, and all of the client's slots then renew together on one date.
Switch From Monthly to Annual
Open the client's actions menu under Client subscriptions and select Switch to annual…. Monthly billing continues until the renewal date. Annual billing starts on that date, with no charge today and no mid-cycle credit.
Switching from annual back to monthly isn't available in the console. Contact us.
Reduce or Stop at Renewal
Both changes take effect at the client's renewal date. Until then, all current slots stay available.
- Reduce slots at renewal… sets a lower quantity. It can't go below the number of devices the client has connected.
- Turn off renewal… ends the client's subscription at renewal. It's available only when the client has no connected devices.
Choose the matching Undo entry in the same menu to cancel a scheduled change before it applies.
Invoices and Payment Methods
Select Payment method & invoices to open the billing portal. Update your payment method and download invoices there. Change slot quantities and prices only in Slots.
Each client's subscription is billed separately, so you may receive a separate invoice for each client.
What Clients See
Clients never see wholesale prices, invoices or payment methods. Their workspace has no billing page.
If a Payment Fails
Your account moves to Payment attention. Existing workspaces keep running during the grace period, and displayAQI pauses new workspaces and devices until you resolve billing.
Connect Devices for a Client
Check a client's slots, connect its Qingping or AirGradient devices, place them in buildings, and rotate provider credentials.
Show Your Brand to Clients
Set your display name, logo and colors, and see where they appear for your clients, on kiosks and widgets, and on your demo link.
